About me
I am Senta, the person behind "Senta's Costumes".
Since 1999, I have been fascinated by the clothing of past centuries and the craftsmanship that went into making it. Over time, this fascination has developed into a deep understanding of the craft and a joy in authentically recreating historical garments. Over many years, I have acquired extensive knowledge through research, observation, exchange, but above all through sewing and wearing the garments myself.
My focus is on Renaissance and 19th century fashion, but I also enjoy exploring other eras and styles. In the past, I have attended numerous reenactment and living history events in various countries. This has allowed me to experience how clothing brings history to life and connects people. That's why it's important to me that the garments not only look good but are also comfortable to wear.
From now on, I will be devoting myself to this craft and my passion full-time – with a wealth of experience, creativity and the aim of designing high-quality, harmonious garments for you. Every piece created in my studio is handmade and unique.
I look forward to meeting you and bringing your idea to life. Perhaps your new favourite piece is already waiting to be discovered.
