Custom Made

Custom-made – individual and according to your wishes
Every custom-made item at Senta's Costumes is created in close consultation with you. Whether based on historical models or your own ideas, each garment is tailored to your style, purpose and vision. Historical forms serve as a basis, but can be authentically reproduced or freely interpreted according to your wishes. The result is a garment that is both harmonious and personal.

The path to your custom-made product
If you would like a custom-made garment, please contact me. It would be helpful if you could let me know in your initial enquiry: the occasion for which the garment is intended (e.g. performance, event, photo shoot), the era or style you are interested in, and when you would like it to be ready by.

Design and cost estimate
After the initial consultation, I will provide you with a personalised quote upon request. This may include a sketch of the design and, depending on the project, suggestions for suitable fabrics. I charge a processing fee of €50 for preparing the design and quote. This fee will be deducted in full from the price of the custom-made item if you decide to place an order.

Fitting and trial cut
Once the design and cost estimate have been agreed upon and production begins, a trial cut may be useful or necessary, depending on the cut and era. This is made from a simple cotton fabric and serves to precisely adjust the fit and proportions before the final implementation.
The fitting of the sample pattern takes place in my studio. For remote enquiries, the sample pattern is sent by post. We discuss the fit and any possible adjustments together, for example via video call. Only after this fine-tuning does the actual production of the historical garment begin.

Cost estimate
The price of a custom-made garment always depends on the individual project. Among other things, the chosen era, the cut of the garment, the quality of the fabric and the extent of details and embellishments are decisive factors.
The production time also depends on the complexity of the model and my current order situation. As a rule, you should expect a production time of about two to three months. In some cases, a shorter implementation is possible, while in others a project may require a little more time. I will be happy to discuss time frames and costs with you transparently and individually as part of your enquiry.

Quality takes time
Historical garments are more than just clothing – they are the result of careful planning, precise craftsmanship and a keen sense of proportions and materials. Each custom-made piece receives the time and attention necessary to create a harmonious and durable result.

If you are interested in a custom-made piece or have questions about your project, I look forward to hearing from you. Together, we will discuss your idea and find the right way to create your personal garment.
